RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

  • Execute the plating of desserts for the restaurant's dinner services, ensuring high aesthetic standards and consistency.
  • Assist the culinary team in the preparation of various pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to OKU's recipes and standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pastry station, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Assist with inventory management and ensure proper storage of pastry ingredients and supplies.
  • Collaborate effectively with the rest of the culinary team to ensure seamless service flow.
  • Demonstrate foundational cooking knowledge to support the overall kitchen operation as needed.


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Passion for pastry and a keen eye for presentation, committed to delivering exceptional culinary experiences that align with the OKU philosophy.
  • Proven experience, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hotel environment.
  • Demonstrable skills in dessert plating for high-volume dinner services.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of general cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Requires evening shift availability.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluency in English or Spanish (additional languages are a plus).
