‘OKU’ is derived from the Japanese spiritual and architectural concept meaning ‘inner space’. OKU Hotels is a boutique collection of soulfully-curated, laidback luxury hotels, created for the modern traveler. Meticulously designed sanctuaries are conceived with barefoot luxury, local connections and slow living at heart.

OKU Hotels is headquartered in London, with current properties operating in Ibiza and Kos, and a confirmed pipeline of hotels set to open in Turkey, Spain and the Maldives. OKU is targeting to own and/or operate a collection of over ten exquisite properties in new and captivating destinations worldwide, over the next five years.

Responsibilities of the Role

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of hotel facilities and equipment, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.
• Respond promptly to repair and maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and prevent potential failures.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure the proper functioning of facilities.
• Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety regulations.
• Manage the inventory of maintenance tools and materials.
• Coordinate and supervise the work of external suppliers when necessary.
• Perform minor repairs and improvements in hotel rooms and common areas.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a hotel or similar environment.
• Solid knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other maintenance areas.
• Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organisational and time management skills.
• Responsible, proactive, and service-oriented attitude.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Knowledge of maintenance management systems (desirable).
