Splunk Observability Engineer

Location:

Spain/Portugal - 99% remote, candidates must be willing to attend the Madrid office if required.

Contract Type:

Permanent

Salary:

Up to €56,300.00 DOE

About the Role:

QSR has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Splunk Engineer to join a growing observability team within a large financial institution.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Build, maintain, and coach on observability tools (Splunk/ITSI)
  2. Lead dashboard setup, data quality, and user adoption
  3. Create applications and plan deployment in production
  4. Discuss and implement new features based on business needs
  5. Perform Splunk Admin tasks and coach colleagues
  6. Integrate solutions into wider enterprise infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
  7. Act as a technical ambassador and mentor within the team
Required Skills & Experience:
  1. 3+ years of hands-on Splunk experience, including Splunk ITSI
  2. Strong experience with Python, Infrastructure, AWS/Azure
  3. Proficiency in JavaScript; Java is a plus
  4. Experience with observability tools, user coaching, and integration projects
  5. Ability to take ownership and lead deliverables
  6. Splunk Core Certified Power User or Advanced Power User certification
Soft Skills:

  4. Ability to coach and motivate peers
Additional Requirements:

Fluent in spoken English. Candidates must be based in Spain or Portugal with the right to work there.
