What Is The Role

Join Elastic’s Ingest team and help shape the future of how developers build and ship integrations with the Elastic Stack. We’re looking for a software engineer who loves solving platform and tooling challenges that empower others. If you enjoy building developer-focused tools, collaborating across teams, and working in the open, this role might be for you.

This is a full-stack role on the UI and Integrations team within Elastic Observability's Ingest organization, We build and maintain open-source tools that help other teams at Elastic ship dashboards, ingest pipelines, and configuration powering Elastic Agent data collection.

You’ll work in Go most of the time and occasionally contribute to user-facing features in Kibana with TypeScript, React, and Node.js. You’ll collaborate with teammates across engineering, UX, and product, all while working in public and contributing to open-source projects.

• Improve integration authoring workflows across the Elastic ecosystem
• Occasionally deliver backend and UI features in Kibana using TypeScript, React, and Node.js
• Write testable, maintainable code and actively participate in code reviews
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-impact platform improvements
• Engage with Elastic’s open source community and contribute in public
• Participate in a low-frequency, follow-the-sun on-call rotation to help support system reliability

What You Bring

• 2+ years of experience with Go in a production environment
• Experience working with CI / CD pipelines and writing automated tests
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for async-first collaboration across time zones
• A curious, problem-solving mentality and a bias toward action
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Bonus Points

• Experience with frontend technologies like TypeScript, React, or Node.js or a willingness to learn
• Familiarity with the Elastic Stack.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and the broader observability ecosystem
• Experience contributing to open source software or developer-facing platforms
