Job Description: Nursery Practitioner

Based in our baby room working with children aged from 0-2 years.

Providing a safe, supportive and caring environment for young children in the nursery.

Supporting children at meal times, sleep times and with personal care.

Working as a Key worker and carrying out regular observations of children.

Working with EYFS curriculum planning age-appropriate activities.

Promoting diversity and equal opportunities.

Developing and maintaining professional working relationships with colleagues, parents and other childcare professionals.

Attending monthly staff meetings and further training as required.

Observing and monitoring children’s behaviour and development.

Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the nursery area.

Communicating with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns.

Experience:

Childcare experience: 1 year (essential)

Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or day-care setting.

Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.

Qualifications:

Nursery experience: 1 year (preferred)
