UNIOVI seeks a predoctoral researcher for 4 months to join the GEAB Analytical and Bioanalytical Spectrometry groups, developing biosensors for genetic material using gold nanoparticles.

Responsibilities include nanoparticle synthesis and functionalization, and using spectroscopic, chromatographic and mass spectrometry tools for characterization, plus chemometrics for spectral data analysis. Start date 1 Nov 2026; fixed-term position in Spain.

Qualificações

• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and a Master's in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Analytical/Bioanalytical Sciences or equivalent.
• Qualified candidates may have related curricula combining bachelor plus master level studies.

Responsabilidades

• Develop biosensors for genetic material using gold nanoparticles.
• Synthesize and functionalize nanoparticles for analytical applications.
• Use spectroscopic, chromatographic and mass spectrometry tools for characterization.

Predoctoral researcher position for 4 months to work, within the Research Groups of GEAB “Analytical and Bioanalytical Spectrometry” at University of Oviedo, in the development of biosensors for genetic material using gold nanoparticles functionalized and comprehensively characterized

Nanoparticles synthesis and functionalization. Knowledge on spectroscopical, chromatographic and mass spectrometry tools for functionalized nanoparticles characterization. Knowledge on chemometrics for spectral data analysis.

Specific Requirements

Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry plus Master's Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Master's Degree in Analytical and Bioanalytical Sciences or equivalent qualifications from previous curricula (Bachelor's Degree / Higher Engineering)
