Formación

  • 4-6 años de experiencia en desarrollo de prendas de rendimiento al aire libre.
  • Fluidez en inglés y experiencia con materiales técnicos.

Responsabilidades

  • Coordinar todas las fases del desarrollo de productos desde el concepto hasta la muestra de producción.
  • Colaborar con proveedores y fábricas para seleccionar materiales adecuados.

Mission of the Position

Ensure the efficient coordination of all phases of development from concept to production sample within the growing NNormal apparel & accessories category which focuses primarily on a performance outdoor collection. This role aims to enhance the quality, aesthetics, functionality, and profitability of NNormal apparel while incorporating the most sustainable practices and innovative materials available.

Responsibilities of the Position

  1. Act as the primary liaison as a strong ‘Product Triad’ with the Product Manager and the Designer. Key is to identify product needs, designs & drive executions across various internal functions (Materials, Costing, Factories, Suppliers).
  2. Contribute ideas for apparel & accessories design, construction, materials, compounds, and components to enhance functionality, aesthetics, fit, and profit margin in alignment with market needs.
  3. Generate technical development packages to communicate intended construction and aesthetic details to NNormal factories in Europe and Asia.
  4. Collaborate with key business partners, such as material & trim team as well as with vendors to select appropriate materials for each project and investigate potential innovations. A good knowledge of different outdoor performance materials is appreciated.
  5. Work closely with the Camper costing team to examine all prototypes, pattern pieces, and materials to ensure that specifications meet product cost targets.
  6. Meet development process timeline milestones and prototype targets.
  7. Coordinate fit and wear testing at appropriate prototype stages with the Wear Test Coordinator.
  8. Confirm final production samples and assist in resolving production quality issues in collaboration with the Commercialization team.
  9. Ensure products meet or exceed industry standards for perceived quality, value, profit margin, biomechanics, performance, and aesthetics.
  10. Stay well-informed and up to date on emerging technology, market trends, material innovations, consumer needs/trends, and sustainability in the outdoor performance field.

Skills for the Position

  1. A proactive mindset with great interest in the performance apparel trends and a commitment to producing the most sustainable quality products of tomorrow.
  2. Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  3. Agility to work in start-up environment.
  4. Ability to work efficiently with both Adobe Creative Suite and Excel. Knowledge of engineering software is an advantage.
  5. Strong Work Ethic and Company Commitment.

Main Stakeholders

  1. Internal: NNormal Designers, Product Managers, Material Developers, the Costing team.
  2. External: Suppliers, Factories in Europe, and Asia.

Reports to: Product Director, NNormal & working closely with Kilian Jornet.

Requirements for the Position

  1. Education in product engineering, textile garments or industrial design.
  2. 4-6 years of experience in outdoor performance apparel & accessories development.
  3. Experience working with and developing products with factories in Asia.
  4. Experience with technical performance materials appreciated.
  5. Fluency in English.
  6. Experience in building development teams.
  7. Location: Inca Mallorca.
