For the dynamic, rapidly developing European market, we are looking for a talented and motivated Junior Lab Technician to be based in our Amsterdam office.

Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Junior Lab Technician, fulltime 40 hours. Responsibilities

• Perform the experimental process to get the sequencing results within the promised time;
• Sample receiving and registration in the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System);
• Quality and quantity check for DNA and RNA samples;
• DNA and RNA extraction from samples;
• Library preparation for sequencing;
• Refine processes to save experimental costs;
• Review sequencing results to improve experimental protocols and increase success rates;
• Communicate effectively with other lab technicians to find solutions for customer complaints and improve results;
• Prepare and update ISO and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents;
• Engage in other administrative work to assist sales activity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in life science (molecular biology, biotechnology, or other relevant fields) is a must;
• Lab experience is required;
• Hands-on NGS laboratory skills such as library preparation and sequencing preferred;
• Experience in LIMS is an advantage;
• Able to perform well under pressure and quickly adopt new experimental protocols;
• Result-oriented and an excellent team player with high-level prioritization skills;
• Experience working in a multi-national team environment;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
