A leading logistics group in multimodal transportation is seeking a Naval Engineer to oversee the development of new RORO and PCTC vessels. The role requires experience in newbuild projects, particularly in LNG propulsion, and offers a collaborative environment to enhance your engineering skills. Engaging in diverse projects across continents, you will ensure high standards and compliance with maritime regulations.

Formación

  • At least 3 years of experience in newbuild projects.
  • Direct involvement with Classification Society approval offices (IACS).
  • High level of English language skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Control and successful completion of assigned projects on time and within scope.
  • Tracking newbuild projects by managing requests from subcontracted Technical Engineering.
  • Monitoring ongoing projects in the existing fleet, including reporting to the Technical Department.

Responsibility

Reporting to the Technical Director, the role will focus on the development of the company’s new fleet of RORO and PCTC vessels.

Key responsibilities include :

Control and successful completion of assigned projects on time and within scope.

The day-to-day tasks for the candidate will involve :

Tracking newbuild projects by managing requests / requirements from :

  • Subcontracted Technical Engineering
  • Classification Societies
  • Technical Department of the Company

In addition and if necessary, the engineer will provide support to the existing RORO fleet in terms of modifications, transformations, or any other technical needs arising from the fleet.

Monitoring ongoing projects in the existing fleet, including :

  • Identifying the most feasible technical options for each project
  • Monitoring requirements from various administrations (Flag, Class, etc.)
  • Reporting to the Technical Department of the Company

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Naval Engineer or Master's Degree in Naval and Oceanic Engineering
  • Experience in international newbuild projects, especially in Asia
  • Direct involvement with Classification Society approval offices (IACS), as well as Flag Authorities
  • Experience in LNG propulsion projects
  • Ability to review and interpret detailed vessel’s plans / drawings
  • Knowledge of applicable newbuild regulations
  • At least 3 years of experience in newbuild projects
  • At least 3 years of experience in LNG projects
  • High level of English language skills

DESIRABLE :

  • Advanced knowledge of design programs (Maxsurf, Ansys, Mars, Poseidon, Foran, Autocad, Rhinoceros...)
  • Previous experience in an engineering office and / or shipyard newbuild office
