Una empresa en Barcelona busca un Lead Network Installation Technician para un proyecto a corto plazo de instalación de cableado y hardware de red. El candidato ideal tendrá experiencia en la instalación de Cat6a y será responsable de asegurar una alta calidad en la instalación, así como de la documentación necesaria. Se requiere fluidez en inglés y español y se valorará la puntualidad y profesionalismo.

Formación

• Experiencia demostrable con instalación de cableado y hardware de red.
• Familiaridad con herramientas de terminación de paneles y pruebas.
• Capacidad para leer y seguir planos y diagramas de cableado.

Responsabilidades

• Instalación de cableado estructurado y hardware de red en un sitio comercial.
• Asegurar conformidad con estándares de calidad y seguridad.
• Proveer documentación detallada del trabajo realizado.

? Project Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Network Installation Technician, supported by a helper, to carry out a structured cabling and network hardware installation project. The assignment involves end-to-end installation of Cat6a cabling, networking hardware, and associated infrastructure at a commercial site.

You must ensure high-quality standards, safety compliance, and detailed documentation throughout the duration of the project.

? Scope of Work:

• Install Cat6a cabling with runs up to 90 meters.
• Route cables neatly and in line with site guidelines.

Access Point Mounting

• Install wireless access points as per the provided plan (within 1-meter tolerance).
• Secure and position for optimal coverage and performance.

Cable Termination

• Terminate cables cleanly into patch panels.
• Ensure signal integrity and labeling consistency.
• Mount and install network cabinets.
• Properly label each cabinet for identification and documentation.

Network Equipment Integration

• Rack, stack, and power network equipment (e.g., switches, routers).
• Ensure proper airflow and cabling discipline.
• Test all cables and equipment to confirm functionality.
• Ensure compliance with Cat6a standards and customer specifications.

Labeling & Documentation

• Apply accurate labeling to all cables, ports, and hardware.
• Provide as-built documentation for handover.

Smart Hands Support + Photos

• Offer hands-on technical support during setup.
• Capture and submit clear photos of all installed components.

Cleanliness & Safety

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout.
• Remove debris, secure cables, and follow safety protocols.

Mandatory Site Walkthrough

• Conduct a final walkthrough with the site/project lead.
• Review installation quality and address outstanding items.
• Proven experience with Cat6a cabling and network hardware installation
• Familiarity with patch panel termination and cable testing tools
• Ability to read and follow floor plans and cable layouts
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• PPE and basic toolset required (labels, tester, drill, etc.)
• Must speak English and Spanish (B1 minimum level), have good communication skills
• Punctuality and professionalism are a must
