Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the PORTS program in the Middletown, RI area, coordinating between the Program Manager, customers, and engineering teams.

You will drive schedules, budgets, and quality metrics to deliver simulation-based training systems for the US Surface Navy, with travel up to 10%. The role requires US citizenship, a DoD Secret clearance eligibility, a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and at least 5 years of management experience including P&L.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).
• Travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects
