TBSCG’s engineering & Cloud practice is scaling fast, and we’re looking for an architect who’s ready to own solution-level decisions, not just implement them. You’ll lead Commercetools and Fluent Commerce builds for global brands, working with peers who specialize in composable architectures.

Note: The role operates on US time zones.

What you’ll own:

1. Architect & deliver cloud-native services and integrations across Commercetools, Fluent Commerce, and Cybersource using TypeScript/Node and event-driven patterns.
2. Design APIs & events that support omnichannel customer journeys.
3. Lead technical discovery sessions with client architects and TBSCG product teams.
4. Promote engineering excellence through code quality, observability, automated testing, and documentation.
5. Mentor mid-level engineers and contribute to internal best-practice playbooks.

Your toolkit:

• Proven experience with Commercetools solutions in production.
• Hands-on experience with Fluent Commerce (or similar OMS) and payment gateways.
• Strong TypeScript/Node skills; familiar with serverless runtimes (AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions) and event buses (SNS/SQS, Pub/Sub, EventBridge).
• Deep understanding of microservices, API-first, and headless paradigms.
• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions or Bitbucket Pipelines) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/GitOps).

Extra credit:

• GraphQL, Next.js/React front-ends.
• Headless CMS integrations (Contentstack, Contentful).
• Kubernetes or container orchestration for custom workloads.
