Job Description

Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to small-and-medium sized accounts. The role combines responsibilities of a Field Sales Rep and Inside Sales Rep. Works to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory, which may be defined by geography, product, industry, or other customer/market dimensions. Sells to the territory directly or via partners. Utilizes inbound and/or outbound techniques to identify, qualify, and close new opportunities. Manages accounts throughout the entire sales process, collaborating with team members in business development, consulting, and support to uncover all customer needs.

Responsibilities include understanding Oracle's product offerings and competitive issues to develop comprehensive solution proposals, traveling to customer sites, presenting value propositions, negotiating and closing deals with C-level executives, managing customer relationships, and utilizing independent judgment for varied and complex duties.

Job Requirements
  • Spend 50%+ of weekly time prospecting for new business.
  • Forecast, manage, and close 50-60 workloads annually using Oracle Sales Cloud.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders like Tech Managers, Key Partners, and MySQL SCs.
  • Identify and engage key customer stakeholders to promote MDS/HW to developers and decision-makers.
  • Operate as part of a large account team; team collaboration is essential.
  • Proficient in using Oracle Sales Tools such as Territory and Market Intelligence, Eloqua, Datafox/ZoomInfo, Sales Cloud, and LinkedIn.
  • Develop and execute a 30, 60, 90-day territory plan, and present quarterly business reviews.
  • Conduct discovery calls and craft effective elevator pitches focused on Oracle Cloud + MDS/HW.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or applicable experience preferred.
  • Proven success in managing complex sales cycles and achieving revenue targets.
  • IT sales experience of 3+ years.
  • Knowledge of local market business environment and strong network.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
Additional Responsibilities

Sell MySQL Database Service (MDS) and HeatWave (HW) on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and multi-cloud environments. Demonstrate success in selling cloud services, understanding core cloud principles, and articulating Oracle’s cloud value proposition. Candidates should have 3+ years of cloud sales experience, with a passion for MySQL and cloud technology.
