What are we looking for?

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Murex Mx.3 Developer / Technical Specialist to join our Financial Markets Technology team. This role will be responsible for developing, customizing, and supporting Murex functionalities with a strong focus on technical implementation, workflow development, integration, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain Murex configurations, scripts, and extensions across modules (FO, BO, Risk, Accounting).
2. Design and implement MxML workflows, ensuring straight-through processing and performance efficiency.
3. Customize and optimize Datamart reports, extraction scripts, and viewer tables.
4. Integrate Murex with upstream / downstream systems (e.g., via APIs, MxML, FIX, MQ).
5. Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into Murex solutions.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues (e.g., trade booking failures, workflow errors, data mismatches).
7. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Support, QA, and Infrastructure teams for change delivery.
8. Participate in upgrade / migration projects and perform regression testing.
9. Ensure robust documentation of configurations, scripts, and processes.

Mandatory Requirements

1. 3–6+ years of hands-on experience with Murex Mx.3, ideally in a developer or technical analyst role.
2. Strong understanding of Murex architecture, especially in MxML Exchange, Datamart, Workflows, and Trade Lifecycle.
3. Proficiency in SQL, Unix Shell scripting, and MxML scripting.
4. Experience working with interfaces and APIs, including integration with market data, risk systems, or accounting platforms.
5. Solid knowledge of financial products: FX, IRD, EQD, Credit, Fixed Income.
6. Ability to debug and analyze logs for performance and functional issues.
7. Familiarity with Murex upgrades, batch processing, and performance tuning.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
9. Excellent communication skills to liaise between technical and functional teams.
10. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
11. Proactive, detail-oriented, and accountable.
12. Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline.

Desirable Requirements

1. Exposure to Java or Python for Murex-related tooling or testing automation.
2. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., FRTB, Basel III, IFRS 9) and their impact on Murex.
3. Experience with CI / CD pipelines, Git, and Jira for DevOps workflows.
4. Murex certification or training credentials.
5. Experience working with cloud deployments or containerized Murex environments.
