The role of an Internal Communications Specialist is pivotal in shaping the organization's internal communication strategies. This specialist will focus on creating and implementing internal communication plans to effectively share relevant updates about the company, its people, and culture, fostering a strong sense of community and alignment among employees.
This position involves elevating the employer brand by designing bold and engaging campaigns that showcase the company as an exceptional place to work. The specialist will manage the company's social media channels strategically, connecting internal and external narratives, amplifying the company's voice, strengthening its reputation, and attracting top-tier talent.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with key stakeholders, including Human Resources, Corporate Communication, and Marketing teams. The ideal candidate is a creative strategist and compelling storyteller who is passionate about driving the company's mission to attract and retain top talent while building a vibrant internal culture and a standout employer brand.
This role requires collaboration with the Director of Talent and Internal Communication to design, develop, and execute a comprehensive internal communication strategy that aligns with organizational goals. The specialist must craft and deliver high-quality internal communication materials, including messages, initiatives, digital content, campaigns, and audiovisuals, ensuring they drive employee engagement, foster alignment, and reflect the company's business culture.
To achieve this, the specialist must ensure consistency in internal communication messages and content across all channels, departments, and organizational levels, ensuring alignment with Corporate Communications & Marketing strategies. This includes overseeing and managing the company's intranet implementation by liaising with external providers, the IT department, internal clients, and site representatives.
The specialist must also plan, coordinate, and implement impactful internal events and content that highlight the company's business culture, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, employee experience, and professional development opportunities. Additionally, they must develop professional videos and presentations to support organizational events and internal communication channels.
Effective communication requires adapting messages to suit the intended audience, using English, Spanish, and German languages. The specialist must actively participate in cross-functional teams, fostering strong collaborative relationships with Corporate Communications & Marketing. Lastly, the specialist must manage and monitor the company's social media presence by creating engaging posts, staying informed of social media trends and best practices, and ensuring alignment with the employer branding and communication goals.
In terms of qualifications, the ideal candidate has 7+ years of working experience in internal communication and corporate communication positions in international companies. They should have designed and implemented communication plans and campaigns in support of business strategy, employer branding, DEI, and business culture, engaging internal employees globally. A Bachelor's degree in Communication, Advertising, and Public Affairs or Marketing is required, along with postgraduate studies in Internal Communication, Digital Marketing, or similar fields.
A strong portfolio of digital content creation, video production, newsletter management, and presentation skills is essential, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop, and software tools for editing. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, with superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English and Spanish.
This role is ideal for an independent self-starter with a strong sense of accountability and a mindset of delivering high-quality results. Organizational and planning skills are necessary, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently deliver high-quality results on-time and on-budget.
