Job Description

Reporting to the Medical Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

1. Ensuring all activities and interactions comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, company policies, and standards.
2. Providing scientific and technical leadership to foster credible relationships with strategic thought leaders and external experts.
3. Establishing a strong medical and scientific presence in key academic centers through research and educational initiatives, supporting requests for medical and scientific information.
4. Assisting in the initiation, oversight, and follow-up of clinical studies and medical projects within the therapeutic area, ensuring compliance with all regulations and SOPs.
5. Acting as a liaison with thought leaders to facilitate investigator-initiated studies and support requests.
6. Serving as a contact point for external experts to address their scientific needs and support the safe and effective use of AbbVie medicines.
7. Delivering credible scientific presentations to physicians and healthcare professionals.
8. Participating in the selection of qualified thought leaders for collaborative efforts and ensuring scientific integrity.
9. Gathering and communicating medical field intelligence to inform strategic priorities.
10. Attending scientific meetings and conferences, and summarizing relevant data for internal use.
11. Supporting physicians with access requests for medicines under legal and regulatory compliance.
12. Assisting internal teams to enhance their scientific knowledge through updates and presentations.
13. Providing scientific support for publications and medical interest initiatives.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD) preferred; relevant experience considered.
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Science Liaison (MSL) experience.
• Knowledge of the therapeutic area and medical research processes.
• Understanding of the pharmaceutical environment and Medical Affairs role.
• Expertise in clinical research methods and regulatory controls.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong commitment to compliance and scientific integrity.
• Fluency in English.
• Location: Andalucia
