The Research Centre for Information and Communications Technologies of UGR (CITIC-UGR) is renowned for its work in ICT, covering areas such as High Performance Architectures, Bioinformatics, eHealth, Software Engineering, Neural Engineering, Data Mining, Nanoelectronics, and more. The Mydass research group focuses on leveraging ICT to improve the lives of children with special needs and the elderly, including active aging, through technologies like IoT, semantics, and microservices. The group collaborates closely with health professionals and applies its research to smart cities, traffic, and pollution management.
The current project involves using IoT technologies for data collection from sensors, data analytics, and visualization, with applications in eHealth to support older adults and in smart city initiatives to promote sustainable tourism and low-emission urban environments.
