The International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE) is a research organization created in 1987 at the heart of the prestigious Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) as a partnership between the Government of Catalonia and UPC, in cooperation with UNESCO. The aim of CIMNE is the development of numerical methods and computational techniques for advancing knowledge and technology in engineering and applied sciences. The ultimate goal of CIMNE is to become an international reference centre and leader in computational mechanics, through achieving excellence in all the activities carried out by the centre.
The goal of the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships is to enhance the creative and innovative potential of researchers holding a PhD and who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training, international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary mobility. MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships will be open to excellent researchers of any nationality.
Postdoctoral candidates are encouraged to review the list of CIMNE research areas and groups to identify the ones that align with their interests.
We invite researchers to submit their expression of interest through this form . The applications will be managed through the Project Management Office of CIMNE. If you have any questions, write to us: fellowships@cimne.upc.edu .

MSCA POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS IN A GLANCE
The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships are supported by the European Union and carried out in Europe. The scheme also encourages researchers to work on research and innovation projects in the non-academic sector and is open to researchers wishing to reintegrate in Europe, to those who are displaced by conflict, as well as to researchers with high potential who are seeking to restart their careers in research.
Fellowships will be provided to excellent researchers, undertaking international mobility either to or between EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries, as well as to non-associated Third Countries. Applications will be made jointly by the researcher and a beneficiary in the academic or non-academic sector.
TYPES OF GRANTS
Postdoctoral Fellowships either can take place in Europe (i.e., in an EU Member State or a Horizon Europe Associated Country ) or in a Third Country not associated to Horizon Europe:
WHAT DOES THE FUNDING COVER?
The financial support for MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships includes a living allowance, a mobility allowance, and a family allowance (if applicable). The living allowance is a fixed amount meant to cover the subsistence costs of the fellow during the fellowship. The mobility allowance is meant to cover the expenses related to the fellow's mobility. The family allowance is meant to cover additional expenses incurred by fellows who have family obligations.
The salary conditions of the MSCA are quite competitive in terms of cost of living in Spain.
*These amounts are alien to CIMNE and may vary without any commitment by our research center.
