ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE TEAM:

The GMS AR Specialist will manage and optimize billing, collection, and credit control processes to ensure the success of cash flow activities and minimize the risks associated with accounts receivable. You will work closely with local sales and finance teams to implement strategies to comply with the regulations of each country.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Generate and review the billing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations in each country.
2. Resolve discrepancies in billing by collaborating with internal teams if needed.
3. Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring adherence to agreed payment terms.
4. Implement proactive and reactive collection strategies to reduce delinquency rates in collaboration with other teams.
5. Collaborate with the Sales Team to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans when necessary.
6. Assess customer creditworthiness by analyzing risks and assigning appropriate credit limits.
7. Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable performance.
8. Maintain the AR updated by monitoring and posting the collections received.
9. Proactively participate in the implementation of process improvements.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:

1. Relevant coursework or a degree in Accounting is required.
2. At least one year of experience in similar roles involving credit, collections, and billing, preferably in a multinational environment.
3. Experience with Netsuite software or a similar billing system is required.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
5. Ability to work in multicultural teams and manage priorities under pressure.
6. Results-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and GSuite is required.
8. Fluent in English and Spanish (required).

IT’S A BONUS IF YOU HAVE:

1. Knowledge of Italian, French, or Portuguese.
2. Ability to effectively manage customer relationships while balancing policy compliance and customer satisfaction.
