A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst / Developer specializing in finance systems. This fully remote position is for candidates based in Spain and requires expertise in Unit4 ERP, SQL, and finance processes. You will develop and enhance financial systems while collaborating closely with finance and IT teams to ensure compliance and drive improvements.

Job Opportunity: Senior Business Systems Analyst / Developer – Finance Systems

Location: Remote (Spain-based only)

Rate: €40/hour

Contract Type: Freelance / Contract

Are you a technically strong and finance-savvy ERP expert? Join a forward-thinking public university’s digital transformation journey as a Senior Business Systems Analyst / Developer , supporting and enhancing finance systems, primarily Unit4 ERP .

This fully remote role is ideal for someone based in Spain who enjoys a mix of development, support, and collaboration with Finance, IT, and Audit teams. You’ll lead on integrations, automation, and continuous improvement across critical financial platforms.

What You’ll Do





- Develop and maintain the Unit4 ERP financial system
- Lead system integrations , process automation , and improvement initiatives
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support to Finance and IT teams
- Collaborate closely with auditors and stakeholders to ensure compliance and performance
- Create and maintain detailed technical and functional documentation

Tech & Tools You'll Work With

- ERP: Unit4 ERP
- Languages/Queries: SQL, Excel
- Integrations: APIs
- Reporting: Information Browser, Excelerator, ARC/Xtra
- Methodologies: Agile, ITIL (support), Prince2 (a plus)
- Other Focus Areas: Cybersecurity, automation, and emerging technologies (e.g., AI)

What You Bring

- Solid experience with financial ERP systems (ideally Unit4)
- Understanding of accounting and finance processes
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Experience in academic or research environments (a plus)
