Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Business Development of Crop Sciences GEP Activities in Europe
- Sales and Customer Contract development
- Key Account Management as required
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading Sales and Development Activity.
- Identifying existing and future market activities.
- Identify and approach all sector customers and potential customers.
- Leading European GEP business focus.
- Attend industry events to promote the services of SGS.
- Actively promote the image, capability, and integrity of the company to the Product-line Customers.
- Work with NR Marketing Manager to produce publicity materials and utilize global media tools for internal and external news distribution.
- Search for additional opportunities and offer new and increased services to existing and new clients.
- Key objective: To find new business and increase revenue activity in this sector.
- Continuously seek new ways to deliver improved services to the Regional Customer base.
- Manage projects for new and existing clients requiring improved or customized services.
- Collaborate with Crop Science Country Business Managers for consistent service delivery across regions.
- Work with International Sales / Business Development Managers to approach markets as a unified Customer-facing Global Team.
- Identify geographic service gaps and work with management to find new opportunities, including possible acquisitions.
- Promote and implement new service innovations.
- Develop regional strategies and Business Development Programs.
- Coordinate with Study Directors, Technical Governance, and Country Business Managers to identify training and operational improvements.
- Focus on delivering the best service solutions, supporting the voice of the customer.
- Provide Key Account Management for designated customers requiring specific management.
- Act as a primary contact point for clients when needed.
- Prepare customized service proposals with team support.
- Standardize commercial approaches to Regional Key Accounts.
- Evaluate statistical data and present results to key accounts.
- Represent the voice of the client within SGS.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Participate in projects as decided by the Vice President - NR Agri Commodities / Crop Sciences.
Qualifications
PROFILE
- Over 10 years' experience in Crop Sciences, Consultancy, or TIC Industry Commercial Roles.
- Degree or Master’s level education.
- Proven success in sales development and business growth.
- Strong reputation as a collaborator with senior industry players.
- Knowledge of GLP Crop Sciences Operations and Testing Requirements.
- Leadership and People Management skills.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- High proficiency in English; knowledge of French, German, or Spanish is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work under high stress and demanding environments.
