Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Business Development of Crop Sciences GEP Activities in Europe
  2. Sales and Customer Contract development
  3. Key Account Management as required
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Leading Sales and Development Activity
  2. Identifying existing and future market activities
  3. Identifying and approaching all sector customers and potential customers
  4. Leading European GEP business focus
  5. Attending industry events to promote SGS services
  6. Promoting the company's image, capability, and integrity to Product-line Customers
  7. Collaborating with the NR Marketing Manager on publicity and media distribution
  8. Seeking additional opportunities and offering new services to clients
  9. Finding new business and increasing revenue in this sector
  10. Innovating ways to deliver better service to the Regional Customer base
  11. Managing projects for clients requiring customized services
  12. Working with Crop Science Country Business Managers for consistent service delivery
  13. Collaborating with International Sales/Business Development Managers for a unified global approach
  14. Identifying gaps and working with management to explore new opportunities and potential acquisitions
  15. Promoting and implementing new service innovations
  16. Developing regional strategies and Business Development Programs
  17. Working with Study Directors and Country Managers to identify training and operational improvements
  18. Focusing on customer-centric service solutions
  19. Providing Key Account Management for designated customers
  20. Serving as a primary contact point for clients when needed
  21. Creating customized service proposals with team support
  22. Standardizing commercial approaches to Key Accounts
  23. Evaluating statistical data and presenting results to clients
  24. Representing the voice of the customer within SGS
OTHER ACTIVITIES

Additional projects as assigned by the Vice President - NR Agri Commodities / Crop Sciences.

Qualifications
PROFILE
  1. Over 10 years' experience in Crop Sciences / Consultancy / TIC Industry Commercial Roles
  2. Degree or Master’s level education
  3. Proven success in sales and business development
  4. Strong reputation with senior industry stakeholders
  5. Knowledge of GLP Crop Sciences Operations and Testing Requirements
  6. Leadership and People Management skills

  1. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  2. Proficiency in English; French, German, or Spanish highly advantageous
