We are seeking an experienced Mobility Specialist to drive our regional mobility program, ensuring seamless and compliant transitions for our national and international workforce. This role will oversee end-to-end mobility processes, including immigration, relocation, tax compliance, while partnering closely with HR, payroll, legal, and finance teams.

Reports to: Head of HR and Global Mobility Manager

Location: Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of national and international labour laws, tax regulations, and relocation logistics. This role is pivotal in supporting our global talent strategy by fostering an efficient, employee-centered, and compliant mobility experience.

Responsibilities

SESA mobility strategy

  • Develop regional and implement global mobility policies and strategies aligned with FairWind’s Group international growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to ensure mobility programs support talent acquisition, retention, and development goals.
  • Stay informed on global trends and best practices in mobility and recommend improvements to current processes.

End-to-end mobility program management

  • Oversee all aspects of the mobility program, including assignment planning, relocation, immigration, tax compliance, and repatriation.
  • Ensure seamless coordination and communication between employees, HR, external vendors, and other stakeholders throughout the relocation process.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including relocation service providers, immigration consultants, and tax advisors, ensuring quality service delivery.

Compliance and risk management

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with immigration, tax, and labor laws across various jurisdictions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global mobility regulations and advise stakeholders on any changes affecting the mobility program.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies for international assignments, mitigating potential legal and financial risks.

Policy development and process improvement

  • Create and update global mobility policies and processes, including assignment agreements, relocation policies, and compensation guidelines.
  • Identify and drive process improvements to enhance the employee mobility experience and streamline program administration.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to design and implement cost-effective mobility solutions.

Employee support

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employees on global assignments, providing support and guidance throughout the relocation process.
  • Communicate and educate employees on mobility policies, procedures, and benefits, ensuring a positive relocation experience.
  • Resolve complex mobility-related issues and provide exceptional service to internal clients.

Reporting and analytics

  • Track, analyse, submit and register A1, bilateral agreements, local postings requirements of employee.
  • Run visa and work permits processes.
  • Track employee´s displacement and archiving travel justification.

Required Skills / Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in global mobility, international HR, or a similar role, with experience managing complex mobility programs.
  • Strong knowledge of immigration, tax, and labour regulations in multiple countries.
  • Proven experience managing vendor relationships and leading cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Desired Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field
  • Experience with global mobility software and HRIS platforms
  • Professional certifications such as GMS (Global Mobility Specialist) or related qualification
