Mobile Core Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career in the mobile network field, as we expand into additional international markets. We are currently operating as an MVNO in Germany and the Netherlands.

As a member of the Operations team, you will manage our mobile core infrastructure. You will be based in Malaga but work closely with teams in Germany and the Netherlands. This role involves end-to-end responsibilities, including project management, design, and support. Tasks may include setting up servers, maintaining German and Dutch mobile core networks (GSM, 3G, LTE, VoLTE), and collaborating with our Voice Development team on development projects.

THE ROLE

• Monitoring, operating, and troubleshooting Wireless Core networks, ensuring knowledge retention and continuity.
• Understanding 3GPP mobile network protocols and interworking.
• Tracing mobile core components (GGSN, SGSN, SMSC, HLR, STPs) using tools like Wireshark.

WHO ARE YOU?

• At least 3 years of experience working in mobile network environments.
• Operational experience in monitoring, operating, and troubleshooting Wireless Core networks.
• Experience setting up network nodes and server environments based on Unix.
• Vendor management experience is a plus.
• Open-source development experience is a plus.
• An innovative mindset with a hands-on approach.
• Ability to provide 24/7 support.
• Good communication skills.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, due to the international setting.
