Seqera, based in Barcelona, is seeking a Machine Learning Research Engineer to own the improvement loop for a research engine built on the Seqera Platform. You will design the evaluation flywheel, build data pipelines, and post-train small models to improve generation, ranking, and execution of scientific ideas.

You will collaborate with the Founding Scientist and a fast-moving team in-office in Barcelona. Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, transformers, TRL, PEFT, vLLM, and a strong open-source

Formación

• Experience with post-trained open-weight language models and at least one preference-tuning method.

Responsabilidades

• Design evaluation suite for autonomous research agent performance.
• Build data pipeline from deployments into training-ready corpora.
• Post-train small open-weight models (SFT, adapters) to beat baselines at lower cost.
• Run repeated training cycles on evolving data.
• Stay at frontier of post-training specialized models and contribute to roadmap.
