A leading company in Earth Observation is seeking 2 Mission Service Junior Operators to join their team in Leioa, Spain. This role involves the operation of data services, procurement planning, and the management of ground segment tools. Ideal candidates will possess relevant engineering degrees and strong technical skills, particularly in space and Earth observation. Fluency in English and Spanish is crucial for effective communication in this dynamic position.

Formación

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish.

Responsabilidades

  • Operation of the data service via the SATLANTIS Earth Observation constellation.
  • Preparation and adaptation of the mission's procurement planning.
  • Preparation of service reports for projects and users.
  • Coordination of ground segment tools involved in servicing missions.

Descripción del empleo

SATLANTIS is looking for 2 Mission Service Juniors Operators.

The candidates will be located at the Company Headquarters in LEIOA (Bizkaia, Spain).

A detailed list of the Mission Service Juniors Operators tasks that fall within this area is provided below.

Tasks and responsibilities :

  • Operation of the data service via the SATLANTIS Earth Observation constellation from data acquisition to final delivery.
  • Preparation and adaptation of the mission's procurement planning to respond to project and user requests, as well as management and review of the status of compliance with procurement requests from different projects and users.
  • Operation of ground segment tools involved in the mission service : data processing, data transfer and publication, monitoring processes, etc.
  • Preparation of service reports for the different projects and users.
  • Define and implement contingency plans in response to anomalies that may occur.
  • Coordination of the development and implementation of ground segment tools involved in servicing missions.

Required skills and experience :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in aerospace engineering, industrial engineering, telecommunications, geomatics, software, geo-information science or equivalent.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • A good technological understanding and capability to tackle technical constraints related to Space / Earth Observation domain would be an asset.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Service management.
  • Programming.

Preferred experience & strengths :

  • Satellite operation.
  • Data service management, in particular of geospatial data.
  • Database maintenance.
  • Processing and analysis with geospatial data.

Languages :

  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish.
