About the project

Big international company whose main business relates to gift cards and their functioning: issuing and distribution of cards, processing of payments, exchanging, refilling, etc. It also operates with many other types of digital content like eGifts, incentive cards, promotions, rewards, etc. The company has several e-commerce sites and platforms that help distribute the gift card products. Additionally, the company maintains core services that manage all gift card operations within the ecosystem.

Work schedule

The schedule is flexible, shifted to later hours till 19-20:00 CET.

Team

3 front-end developers, 1 back-end/devops, 1 QAA, 1 tech lead, 1 manager

Responsibilities

• Play a role as a technical lead in an international team with members from multiple regions.
• Own key projects by contributing to analysis, decomposition, and planning.
• Develop a high-load, multi-country, multi-language e-commerce platform based on Next.js, React, AEM, Adobe Commerce, ensuring it meets business objectives, customer needs, and compliance.
• Architect and develop front-end solutions using React, TypeScript, and AEM.
• Implement new React components and maintain existing ones, ensuring high load speed and accessibility standards.
• Develop and implement best practices for front-end development.
• Optimize application performance for fast load times and seamless user interactions.
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Work with product owners to prioritize features based on business needs.
• Provide technical documentation and troubleshoot issues.
• Share knowledge and assist the engineering team.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in front-end development, focusing on React and TypeScript.
• Experience building scalable, maintainable, high-performance web applications.
• Experience with React components using Storybook.
• Experience with design systems for UI consistency.
• Experience with Next.js and Node.js for server-side development.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques.
• Understanding of component-based architecture and state management.
• Knowledge of CI/CD methodologies.
• Experience with unit testing, Agile/Scrum development, and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills in an international team.

Bonus Points

• Experience with e-commerce or payments domain.
• Experience with SSR and SSG.
• Experience with headless CMS, Adobe Commerce/Magento, GraphQL, AWS, web analytics, personalization, and A/B testing.
