Xe is a cross-border payments platform hiring a mid-level back-end engineer in Madrid to own end-to-end problems from API design to production. You will build backend services that move money across currencies and support onboarding, KYC/KYB, and settlement.

You’ll work closely with product, compliance, and operations and use AI tools daily to ship improvements. You will design, implement, deploy, and operate services in production, ensuring reliability and observability while collaborating with

Formación

• 3–6 years building production backend services, end-to-end.
• Strong backend proficiency in C# / .NET; other OOP languages welcome.
• SQL and relational database fundamentals.
• Writing and maintaining tests.
• Daily use of agentic coding tools across the SDLC.
• Production experience with AWS services (SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda).
• Strong system design and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Build backend services that move money and manage multi-currency balances across onboarding, KYC/KYB, payments, FX and settlement.
• Partner with product, compliance and operations from problem framing through launch.
• Build and operate partner integrations and settlement infrastructure.
• Own services in production, including reliability, observability, on-call and incident response.
• Use AI-assisted tools daily across the SDLC and help modernize legacy services with architects.
