Job summary

Sword Iberia is seeking a Microsoft 365 Engineer to join an international project in Valencia, Spain, supporting enterprise messaging, identity and collaboration across a multi-site environment.

The role focuses on Exchange Online, Entra ID and Microsoft 365 administration, with opportunities to automate tasks using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph, while collaborating with global teams and ensuring security and governance.

Qualifications

• At least four years of experience managing, operating and maintaining complex email and identity infrastructures across multiple sites.
• At least one year of experience working directly with customers on cloud and Microsoft 365 solutions and deployments.
• Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview.
• Strong knowledge of Entra ID in complex environments, including Domain Services, B2B/B2C, Identity Protection, Identity Governance and application registration.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.
• Experience supporting migrations from on-premises environments to Microsoft 365 and/or tenant-to-tenant migrations.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate confidently with international teams and users.
• Availability to work primarily on-site in Valencia and take part in the on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Microsoft 365 tenants, global policies and configurations in line with governance requirements and best practices.
• Configure and support Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview.
• Manage the lifecycle of Entra ID users, guests, groups, roles, enterprise applications and Microsoft 365 licences.
• Manage mail routing, anti-spam and anti-malware protection, quarantine and mail relay services.
• Troubleshoot mail delivery issues and perform advanced message tracing.
• Manage email archiving, retention, compliance policies, legal holds, advanced eDiscovery and data recovery.
• Configure identity security controls, including SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, RBAC and Defender for Identity.
• Support identity governance through entitlement management, Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and access reviews.
• Automate administrative processes using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.
• Support users across different locations and participate in the on-call rotation.

Location: Valencia, Spain

Working model: Primarily on-site, with up to one day of remote work per week

On-call rotation: Approximately one week per month, depending on team size
