A leading recruitment agency seeks an experienced Splunk Observability Engineer to join a growing observability team. The role includes building and maintaining observability tools, managing dashboard setups, and integrating solutions into larger infrastructures. Ideal candidates will possess strong Splunk skills, experience with Python and AWS/Azure, and excellent communication abilities. The position allows for remote work with occasional office visits in Madrid.
Splunk Observability Engineer
Location: Spain/Portugal - 99% remote but candidates must be willing to attend the office (Madrid) if required
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to € 56,300.00 DOE
QSR have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Splunk Engineer to join a growing observability team, working with a large financial institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and coach on observability tools (Splunk/ITSI)
- Lead on dashboard setup, data quality, and user adoption
- Create an application and plan deployment in production
- Actively discuss and implement new features based on business needs
- Perform Splunk Admin tasks and coach colleagues
- Integrate solutions into wider enterprise infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Be a technical ambassador and mentor within the team
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on Splunk experience, must include Splunk ITSI (IT Service Intelligence)
- Strong experience with Python, Infra, AWS/Azure
- Proficiency in JavaScript; Java is a plus
- Experience with observability tools, user coaching, and integration projects
- Ability to take ownership of deliverables and lead from the front
- Splunk Core Certified Power User or Advanced Power User certification

Candidates must be fluent in spoken English and be based in Spain or Portugal (with the right to work there) to be considered for this role.
