Diamond Foundry Inc. is seeking a Metrology Engineer based in Zaragoza to lead 3D measurement development and defect-tracking using computer vision. You will design measurement routines, train deep learning models, and collaborate across R&D, process, and production teams to optimize growth and quality.

The role emphasizes hardware integration, data analysis, and tool development. Ideal candidates have a strong background in mathematics, physics, or engineering, 2+ years of relevant experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluency in Python and ML libraries, including DL frameworks (Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with JMP and SQL is a plus.
• Expert in data collection and analysis/interpretation, measurement automation, and DOE/ SPC.
• Excellent communication in cross-functional teams and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D measurement routines and extract form, dimensions, and surface roughness/flatness.
• Develop, test, and maintain deep learning vision models.
• Build tools for monitoring model performance and data integrity.
• Communicate results effectively and recommend actions.
• Serve as liaison between metrology and process/production teams; evaluate new optical/vision tools and vendors.
