We are seeking a highly motivated and visionary leader interested in shaping the management of people at risk of developing or with T1 diabetes.
As an MSL, you will be the trusted scientific partner in the field for external experts and decision-makers (including KOLs, Endocrinologists, and other scientific stakeholders), engaging in mutual scientific exchanges to accelerate data dissemination on a first-in-class therapy in Autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance understanding of the scientific and medical value of our innovative product in this therapeutic area.
Reporting to the Medical Lead for Type 1 Autoimmune Diabetes, this role is strategically positioned to realize the ambition for T1D and contribute to the overall future success of Sanofi.
Your core responsibilities will include :
- Establishing and maintaining long-term peer relationships with key external experts (including KOLs, Endocrinologists, and other scientific stakeholders).
- Conducting high-touch scientific exchanges with experts from key accounts and broader HCP groups to convey compelling scientific narratives on T1D disease stages, screening, and treatment, leveraging innovative storytelling techniques.
- Engaging with key account experts to share scientific data, answer questions, and support the development of best practices.
- Linking internal teams with external thought leaders for education and research collaborations.
- Disseminating scientific information and medical education materials to KOLs, fostering exchange within the medical community.
- Tailoring engagement strategies based on stakeholder mapping and local go-to-market models.
- Leveraging omnichannel approaches in engagement, including social media, peer communities, websites, and online portals.
- Working within cross-functional, agile teams to support patient identification, improve patient pathways, and remove barriers.
- Staying updated on medical and scientific developments in the T1D field.
- Promoting experience sharing among external experts to reinforce consensus on screening and treatment protocols.
- Gathering insights from field interactions and providing feedback to refine medical strategies.
- Supporting Market Access teams by engaging with payers and decision-makers to discuss evidence and clinical value, where relevant.
About you
- Qualifications: MD, Pharmacist, PharmD, PhD, MSc in relevant areas. Experience in specialty, rare diseases, or T1D medical activities. Academic or clinical experience in T1D or immunology is highly preferred.
- Soft skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to build relationships, flexible approach, strong planning and prioritization, teamwork, agility, creativity, and a proactive mindset.
- Technical skills: Deep understanding of medical practice, clinical decision-making, healthcare systems related to T1D, and ability to interpret scientific data. Proficiency in developing compelling narratives and leveraging omnichannel engagement strategies. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, payer environments, and industry trends.
- Education: Advanced degree in a scientific or medical field (MD, PhD, PharmD) preferred.
- Languages: Strong communication skills in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.
