Role Overview

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will plan and execute local and regional Medical Affairs strategies aligned with global objectives. She / he will collaborate with marketing teams and focus on clinical, medical, and scientific information supporting Radiometer’s products and services.

The MSL will serve as a scientific and clinical expert, facilitating the adoption of the Blood Gas portfolio in healthcare settings. This role involves advising healthcare professionals on optimizing patient care workflows and improving clinical decision-making using Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) technologies.

This position reports to the Sr. Director of Medical Affairs and is part of the Clinical, Medical, Surveillance & Safety department. The role is based in Spain and will be remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Stakeholder Engagement : Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and healthcare providers, serving as a trusted resource for POCT.
  • Shape Strategic Insights : Collect field insights to inform product development and strategy, acting as a liaison between the medical community and internal teams.
  • Support Clinical Research : Lead investigator-initiated studies, collaborate with external experts, and oversee research progress.
  • Represent Medical Affairs : Attend conferences, advisory boards, and scientific events, supporting symposia and advisory meetings, and assisting the commercial team in scientific interactions.

Minimum Requirements

  • Advanced Healthcare Degree : MSc, PhD, or equivalent.
  • Industry Experience : At least 5 years in biomedical or IVD industry, including Medical or Clinical Affairs roles.
  • Clinical Expertise : Knowledge of laboratory and POCT workflows.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent presentation and relationship-building abilities, capable of conveying complex scientific information.
  • Travel Flexibility : Willing to travel up to 50% domestically, with occasional international travel.
  • Therapeutic Area Experience : Background in critical care, emergency medicine, or related fields, with ability to translate clinical insights into technology adoption strategies.
