THE POSITION : Medical Communications is part of our integrated commercial services. This position is fundamental to building credibility and strengthening relationships with healthcare providers, patients, and industry clients. The role involves delivering industry-leading services, including call center staffing for responding to product information requests, identifying and in-taking adverse events and/or product quality issues, and medical writing.

The role is home-based (full-time), ideally located in Poland, Ireland, the UK, Italy, Portugal, Germany, or Spain. The job holder must be legally eligible to work in the European Union or the UK.

Please note : Candidates must be committed to working US business hours - 9 hours between 2:00 PM and 2:00 AM CET, Monday to Friday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent results through team efforts. These include :

  1. Translating English documents into the target language and delivering responses via phone or in writing.
  2. Triaging and responding to drug information inquiries from healthcare professionals and consumers.
  3. Disseminating drug information verbally or in writing.
  4. Identifying adverse events and product complaints, performing intake to generate reports compliant with SOPs and regulatory requirements, and assessing safety information accurately.
  5. Using writing skills for adverse event and complaint narratives during intake and for medical inquiry responses.
  6. Coordinating responses to quality-related complaints with relevant departments.
  7. Critically evaluating medical literature for dissemination to healthcare professionals.
  8. Handling miscellaneous projects like market research, system development, and training support.
  9. Performing medical writing tasks.
  10. Participating in on-call responsibilities as assigned.
  11. Performing other duties as needed.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB :

  • Maintain and improve customer service in the Medical Communications Call Centre.
  • Work from home or European Hub Office.
  • Work US hours, Monday to Friday, with possible work on bank holidays (with compensatory day off).
  • Contribute to process improvements impacting call centre metrics.
  • Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

  • Degree in Life Sciences or healthcare, or equivalent.
  • Strong clinical background and excellent communication skills.
  • English at C1 level and native fluency in Spanish.
  • Strong translation skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Pharma D / M Pharma or MSc in Life Sciences or healthcare-related fields.
  • Experience in call centers, medical information, or pharmaceutical industry, including medical writing.
  • Fluent English and native Spanish.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Medical Information Management Systems.
  • Positive attitude, strong communication, innovation, integrity, and professionalism.
