Destinus in Madrid is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to own the vehicle from CAD to real hardware, ensuring packaging, mass and CG constraints are met.

You will perform structural analyses, coordinate mechanical and thermal integration, plan tests, and work with a small, focused team to deliver flight-ready hardware.

Requirements include 10+ years in flight hardware design, strong CAD in SolidWorks or CATIA, and advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

Formación

• Hands-on engineer responsible for CAD to hardware and testing.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design of flight hardware.
• BSc/MSc/PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Strong CAD skills and FEA capability in common tools.

Responsabilidades

• Own the mechanical design and CAD for structure and vehicle layout, managing packaging, mass, and CG constraints.
• Perform structural and stiffness analyses using hand calculations and FEA for flight loads and environment.
• Lead mechanical and thermal integration at vehicle level and coordinate subsystem interfaces.
• Plan and execute structural, vibration, and environmental tests with articles, fixtures, and procedures.
• Analyze test data and correlate results with models to inform design.
• Manage mechanical suppliers, drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements.
