Who we are looking for

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a startup mindset to develop casings for near-eye displays and mounts for optical and electronic components. The main goal is to collaborate with optical and electronics engineers to integrate all near-eye display components into a next-generation product.

What you will do

1. Mechanical Design

• Develop casings for near-eye displays
• Define spatial requirements, mounting, and integration methods for optical and electronic components
• Collaborate with optical designers and electronics engineers for integration
• Conduct FEA and CFD simulations to optimize mechanical strength, weight, and heat management
• Coordinate with manufacturing and product engineering teams to ensure DFM and DFA principles
• Develop mounts for optical components requiring precise alignment
• Design component housings for heat dissipation and electromagnetic shielding

Material Selection

• Research and select materials with suitable mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties that are cost-effective and scalable for manufacturing
• Identify suppliers and manage supply chain in collaboration with product engineers and business developers

Prototyping & Testing

• Create and iterate prototypes rapidly using methods like 3D printing; validate designs through testing

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Fusion 360)
• Experience with FEA / CFD simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL)
• Strong understanding of heat management, shock resistance, and miniaturization
• Knowledge of polymers, composites, and metals used in electronics
• Experience designing optomechanical and electromechanical components
• Familiarity with additive manufacturing, CNC machining, and rapid prototyping
• Understanding of manufacturing techniques like injection molding

Educational Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in consumer electronics, wearables, or AR/VR hardware
• Proficiency in English
