Job Overview

As a Mechanical Engineer at Packfeeder, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of high-performance mechanical and robotic packaging solutions. You’ll be responsible for creating detailed models, conducting engineering analyses, and ensuring manufacturing excellence while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your expertise in materials, quality control, and compliance will drive product reliability and innovation. With a strong focus on efficiency, precision, and sustainability, you’ll play a key role in delivering cutting-edge industrial machinery to the global market.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Design & Development: Create and refine mechanical designs and 3D models using CAD software, developing prototypes and conducting performance testing.
  2. Engineering Analysis: Perform stress, strain, thermal, and structural analyses to ensure reliability, durability, and efficiency.
  3. Manufacturing Support: Optimize manufacturing processes, select materials, improve methods, and collaborate closely with production teams for seamless implementation.
  4. Project Management: Oversee timelines, budgets, and resources, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones.
  5. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control standards, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with specifications and industry regulations.
  6. Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed design specifications, user manuals, and maintenance guides for internal and external use.
  7. Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and safety codes, while integrating sustainability best practices where possible.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, engineering, or manufacturing.
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving mindset, and attention to detail.
  • Expertise in manufacturing processes and materials science.
  • Solid project management and organizational abilities.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in quality control and assurance.

Bonus Points:

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in the packaging industry.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and environmental impact analysis.
