Floox in Spain is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical development of EV charging solutions from concept to industrialization. You will ensure robust, manufacturable designs meeting Floox quality standards, while supporting production and documentation.

The role requires 3D parametric design skills (Solid Edge preferred), knowledge of sheet metal and machining, and the ability to communicate in English with international suppliers.

Formación

• Experience with 3D parametric design software, especially Solid Edge.
• Hands-on experience with Solid Edge is highly valued.
• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, machining) and material selection.
• Ability to read and produce technical drawings and tolerances.

Responsabilidades

• Mechanical design of housings, chassis, and subassemblies for EV chargers using Solid Edge.
• Lead product development from concept to industrialization, including prototyping and validation.
• Prepare and maintain technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
• Create and update installation and product manuals.
• Provide technical production support and resolve issues on the shop floor.
• Coordinate with suppliers for manufacturing of mechanical parts.

The selected candidate will lead the mechanical development of the product, from concept through industrialization, ensuring that solutions are robust, manufacturable, and consistent with Floox's quality standards. In addition to this mechanical component, they will provide support in creating installation and product manuals, as well as support to production.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Mechanical design of housings, chassis, and subassemblies for EV chargers using parametric design software (Solid Edge).
• Product development from concept to industrialization: prototyping, validation, laboratory certifications, and transfer to production.
• Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation (drawings, BOM, specifications).
• Creation and updating of installation and product manuals.
• Technical support to production in resolving day-to-day issues.
• Coordination with suppliers for the manufacturing of mechanical parts (machining, sheet metal, etc.).
• Close collaboration with the electronics, software, quality, and production teams to ensure full product integration.
• Analysis and resolution of mechanical issues detected in production or in the field.
• Active contribution to the continuous improvement of existing processes and designs.
• Higher Vocational Training (Técnico Superior/FP) in Mechanical Design, Industrial Design, or similar (a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field is also valid).
• Demonstrable experience with 3D parametric design software; hands‑on experience with Solid Edge (Siemens) is especially valued.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, machining) and material selection.
• Ability to interpret and produce technical documentation (drawings, tolerances, applicable standards).
• Genuine autonomy in managing day‑to‑day work: able to prioritize, organize, and drive tasks forward without constant supervision.
• Dynamic, results‑driven profile with a willingness to contribute beyond strictly assigned tasks.
• English proficiency sufficient to work with technical documentation and international suppliers.
