Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Zaragoza, Spain is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design and development of assigned projects, contributing to innovative products and their industrialization.

The role involves designing components, defining frame/canopy and containerization solutions, creating documentation, solving manufacturing issues, collaborating with internal and external partners, and participating in prototype testing and validation with a focus on CoGs, vibration and material

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Mechanical Engineer or similar role.
• Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (Mechanical specialization).
• Strong knowledge of CAD/CAE tools and PLM systems.
• Professional level of English.
• Solid understanding of industrial machinery and mechanical design processes.
• Knowledge of cooling, vibration and noise, and engines is a plus.
• Experience with containerized systems or modifying shipping containers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define frame, canopy and containerization solutions, including lifting structures and related calculations.

• Collaborate closely with internal departments and external partners to optimize designs.
• Participate in prototype development, testing validation and industrialization processes.
• Perform calculations related to CoGs, vibration dampening and material resistance.

You have at least 5 years of experience working as a Mechanical Engineer or in a similar role.

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Product Company in Zaragoza / Spain, Spain (ES).
