Gleeds Corporate Services Ltd seeks an M&E Engineer to join their Building Surveying team. You will be instrumental in supporting Technical Due Diligence and Project Monitoring missions, ensuring high-quality deliverables, collaborating with specialists, and providing professional advice to clients. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of construction experience in Spain and possess an engineering degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering, along with fluency in Spanish and English.

Formación

  • Delivering high-quality services and ensuring accuracy in M&E deliverables.
  • Managing planned maintenance programmes and communicating with clients.
  • Participating in technical inspections and preparing condition reports.

Conocimientos

Knowledge of facilities design

An engineering degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering

Descripción del empleo

The M&E Engineer is a key member of the Building Surveying team supporting Technical Due Diligence and Project Monitoring missions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Delivering high-quality services and ensuring that building surveying deliverables meet customer requirements within M&E disciplines.
  • Participating in technical inspections and building surveying commissions for new builds, renovations, and maintenance works.
  • Identifying potential risks and liabilities associated with the property.
  • Reviewing relevant documentation such as building plans, permits, maintenance records, and compliance certificates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Preparing condition reports and participating in the preparation of comprehensive due diligence reports.
  • Preparing and managing planned maintenance programmes.
  • Quality monitoring.
  • Participating in project monitoring missions, including controlling and reporting on the quality of construction projects, their alignment with the construction contracts, monitoring study progress, permitting, etc., evaluating progress against contractual schedules, advising on insurance, penalties, and validating utilization requests and invoices within an MEP scope.
  • Communicating with and providing sound professional advice to clients and other project team members.
  • Collaborating with other specialists, such as environmental consultants or structural engineers, to provide thorough assessments.
  • Promptly advising directors of any issues that have arisen or might arise on projects, especially those impacting Gleeds' professional indemnity (PI) insurance.
  • Remaining within the remit of your role and conducting additional responsibilities with full awareness and managerial approval.

About You

Who we’re looking for :

  • 5+ years of experience in the construction sector (Buildings / Real Estate) in Spain.
  • Knowledge of facilities design and Spanish building regulations.
  • Desirable experience in Technical Due Diligence, Project Monitoring, review, and / or project preparation.
  • Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English.
  • Eligible to work in Spain.

Qualifications

  • An engineering degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
