How to contribute to our vision

To succeed in this role, you need to be creative, proactive, have a strong can-do attitude, and find it easy to cope with changes. You will join a project development team consisting of mechanical design engineers, structural engineers, and a Product Owner working in an agile environment.

You will work with the development of concepts and mechanical engineering design of complex mechanical subsystems and components like large metallic structures, considering Design for X principles: cost, reliability, manufacturing, assembly, safety, service, quality, etc.

More specifically, you will work with:

  • Support to the agile design team on technology and product development designs and decisions
  • Large assemblies and advanced shapes in 3D modeling using NX Siemens PLM. You will be using Teamcenter Siemens PLM as a document management system for CAD models, etc.
  • Rough structural calculations using analytical and numerical methods (FEM).
  • Technical documentation like 2D drafting with Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS), D-FMEA, EHS Design Risk Assessment, Tolerance Stack Analysis, Purchase specification, etc.
  • Execute design reviews with stakeholders, balancing requirements such as quality, cost, manufacturability, serviceability, and EHS.
  • Participate in prototype assembly in workshop and implement lessons learned.

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense of the importance of leading change. We are looking for someone who wants to make real what matters and change the world to renewable energy. We are seeking a candidate with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent professional experience, with several years of experience in product development and mechanical design engineering.

You should be an experienced user of 3D modeling and 2D drafting in CAD tools, preferably NX Siemens PLM software.

Knowledge of machinery directive 2006/42/EC and relevant standards such as EN 1090, EN 1993, and EN 1999 is advantageous.

You should have good knowledge of manufacturing processes like machining and welding, and preferably a craftsman background (e.g., Blacksmith, Industrial technician, Auto mechanic).

You should have strong communication skills, enjoy engaging in dialogue, and be able to communicate knowledge to people with different backgrounds.

You should be able to work under pressure and challenging conditions, with a strong desire to drive improvement and change.

Thrive in an R&D environment where not all answers are known upfront.

Be structured and pragmatic, not afraid to express your opinion.

Possess strong English communication skills, both oral and written.

Most importantly, challenge yourself and colleagues to achieve the best results, possess high professional competency, and have a desire to develop skills. Good collaboration skills and the ability to act in different cultural contexts are essential. To thrive, you must have a result- and customer-oriented approach.
