How You Will Make a Difference

• Dismantle, assemble, move, and align machinery and equipment using hoists, cranes, hand tools, power tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, micrometers, rules, squares, plumb bobs, dial indicators, and laser alignment equipment.
• Read blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical documentation to determine proper work procedures.
• Handle shipping and receiving of all major pieces for TDC, along with inventory and control of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Perform material and machine inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Conduct machining and welding operations for making various parts for lab and shop training equipment.
• Determine equipment specifications and prepare parts lists for purchasing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic devices.
• Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies; perform maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans and drawings.
• Work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends, as required by field assignments.

Special Role Requirements

• Experience with maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial service equipment including pumps, motors, fans, generators, and turbines.
• Ability to disassemble and reassemble complex rotating equipment.
• Skills in bolting, hydraulic bolting, flange management, small bore piping, basic rigging/lifting, and operating overhead cranes.
• Manage time-sensitive tasks in challenging environments.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Skills for Success

A formal education in a technical field or gas turbine systems is advantageous, but we value your overall experience, achievements, and attitude. We seek individuals with strong ownership, work ethic, a desire to learn, problem-solving skills, and good communication abilities.
