Job Description:

A permanent job opportunity has arisen for a "Mechanical Systems Integration & Design Engineer" within Airbus Defence & Space, based in Getafe, Spain. The successful candidate will join the TADAM-TL2 department in the Combat area, integrated into a multidisciplinary team responsible for the integration of EuroMALE mechanical systems and other military platforms such as Eurofighter and UAS.

The Mechanical System Installation team focuses on Quality & Improvement related to Fuel, Hydraulic, Environmental Control Systems, and Equipment integration on aircraft.

Main activities of a Mechanical System Integration & Design Engineer:

  • Defining Mechanical Systems from System Architecture
  • Specifying Mechanical Components for purchasing
  • Preparing Mechanical Parts Documentation for Manufacturing
  • Creating Mechanical Systems Installation Documentation for assembly
  • Interfacing with external partners and suppliers, communicating with stakeholders in design reviews, test reports, and project meetings
