As an MCC Duty Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet. You’ll provide real-time technical support, troubleshoot issues, and help manage aircraft status, all while working in a fast-paced, multicultural team.

How will you contribute to our success?
- 24/7 fleet monitoring – Ensure aircraft are operational and safe by continuously monitoring their technical status.
- Real-time technical support – Provide expert advice to flight crews on MEL dispatch and troubleshooting, ensuring swift issue resolution.
- Remote maintenance oversight – Manage maintenance operations at remote stations, ensuring smooth operations wherever needed.
- AOG recovery – Lead AOG situations, handling fault isolation, parts requests, and recovery actions to minimize downtime.
- Fleet performance management – Oversee deferred defect rectification to maintain optimal fleet performance.
- Fleet status communication – Regularly update and communicate the technical status and operational limitations of the fleet.
- Fleet condition monitoring – Use tools like AIRMAN to analyze the fleet’s condition and implement corrective actions.
- Fault troubleshooting – Identify and resolve intermittent faults, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
- Delay minimization – Monitor technical delays and provide daily reports to minimize disruption to flight schedules.
- Maintenance supervision – Ensure Line Maintenance contractors meet Volotea standards during scheduled maintenance.
- Cross-department liaison – Serve as the main contact between maintenance, OCC, and flight crews to support seamless operations.
- Non-routine maintenance support – Assist with complex non-routine tasks, including engine changes, ensuring efficient execution.
What will make you succeed in this position:
- EASA Part 66 Licensed Aircraft Engineer certified on Airbus A32X series (CFM56 engine type)
- 5+ years of experience in an MCC Duty Engineer position, or similar role (Airline Engineering or Line Maintenance). Troubleshooting experience will be considered a plus.
- Strong technical knowledge – Key for diagnosing issues and maintaining fleet safety and performance.
- Clear communication Skills – Essential to communicate effectively to all related parties both verbally and written.
- Fluent in English & Spanish – Additional languages (Italian, French) are a plus.
- Organized & self-disciplined – Critical for managing tasks independently.
- Proactive & cooperative – Helps anticipate and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with the team.
- Proficient in computer systems and software, particularly the MS Office suite
- Willing to work 24/7 shifts – including nights and weekends.
- AMOS & AIMS experience will be considered a plus, for streamlined maintenance tracking.
- Valid EASA Certifications (Part M, 145, EWIS, Fuel Tank Safety) will be considered as a plus.
- Driver’s License – For mobility across maintenance locations, if necessary.
