Descripción del empleo

The Material Planning Leader is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the material planning processes & procedures across multiple international locations.

This role is to set up KPIs & strategic key lines for material planning, contributing as well to setting up state of the art systems.

This role oversees the timely delivery of materials required for production, while maintaining optimal inventory levels and supporting the company’s global supply chain strategy.

The Material Planning Leader will be reporting to the Global Planning Manager.

Key Responsibilities :

Material Planning and Scheduling :

  • Develop and implement global material planning strategies to ensure a consistent supply of materials across all production sites.
  • Set up standard ways of working.

Inventory Management :

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production needs while minimizing excess stock & enhancing inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify and implement process improvements & procedures to enhance material planning efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify and implement state of the art systems for material planning.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential material shortages or supply chain disruptions.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of material planning processes to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

  • Work closely with production, sourcing, logistics, and other departments to align material planning with overall business objectives.
  • Coordinate with regional material planning teams to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead and mentor a team of material planners, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
