About the Role :

As Think Ahead Education Marketing & Admissions (Virtus College) Manager, the role has two distinct areas of responsibility, with strong links and synergies between them.

The Think Ahead Education Marketing Manager role entails the comprehensive management of company-wide marketing operations, in close collaboration with the leadership teams of the various brands. You will be supported by a small team of marketing specialists that cover areas such as design, web management, social media management and digital marketing support. The implication is that the focus of the role will be more strategic, with an expectation of the candidate being successfully able to roll out brand initiatives, coordinate the marketing team in the implementation of projects, and helping leadership envision creative solutions.

As the Virtus College Admissions Manager, the role is heavily focused on the success of the admissions within our school, implying reaching our student targets on a yearly basis. You will be ultimately responsible for the sales process, meaning reaching out to families, doing tours, hosting school events and ensuring the admissions process is executed precisely and carried out in a timely manner. The nature of this role will be very hands-on, with strong incentives based on performance.

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with the Director in the design and implementation of the annual marketing calendar, including events, social media campaigns, newsletters, and other communications.
  • Manage the in-house Marketing team to ensure consistent and effective brand communication.
  • Implement the annual SEM (Google Ads) and SEO strategy, with a particular focus on the development and optimisation of branded blog content.
  • Plan, execute, and follow up on lead-oriented marketing events for Think Ahead Education, managing all phases from initial planning to post-event lead tracking.
  • Organise and manage internal (non-lead-oriented) marketing events aligned with brand values and community engagement.
  • Support the execution of updates and modifications to the websites of the Think Ahead Education brands.
  • Supervise the social media channels of all Think Ahead Education brands, ensuring alignment with the company’s voice, values, and strategic goals.

Virtus College Admissions Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead the Admissions and Outreach team, coordinating annual recruitment campaigns and projects focused on student enrolment, engagement, and stakeholder relations (including parents, schools, and local authorities).
  • Oversee application processing, from initial meetings with parents serving as the first point of contact, student interviews and entry assessments to offer management, ensuring a seamless experience from initial contact to enrolment.
  • Develop and implement strategies that enhance the college’s visibility and appeal to prospective students, including Open Days, school visits, and online engagement.
  • Maintain accurate admissions data systems, working closely with the Admin teams to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and funding requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Pastoral and Academic teams to align admissions criteria with academic standards, support structures, and course availability.

Required Skills :

  • A dynamic individual with strong sales capabilities and previous experience in an admissions related role.
  • Proven solid work ethic, excellent team-building abilities, and a proven track record of working collaboratively with leadership teams to implement marketing plans.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential, with the ability to confidently engage with families and students, as well as speak publicly with ease.
  • Other skills which we are looking for are creativity, organisational efficiency and the ability to think strategically, bringing core marketing principles into the challenges we address.

Essential and Desirable Requirements :

  • A recognised university degree and have proven experience in a similar role within the educational sector.
  • Native level in both spoken and written Spanish and English is essential.
  • Candidates must possess an up-to-date criminal record check, and have the legal right to work in Spain.
  • Valid driving license in Spain.
  • A desirable background would include studies within the British or International Baccalaureate (IB) system, and / or a Marketing degree or similar.

General Characteristics :

This is a full-time leadership position with a permanent contract, Monday to Friday, starting as soon as possible. The role combines remote working with in-person hours, offering flexibility depending on the nature of the tasks.

In particular, the Admissions Manager aspect of the role does not follow a fixed schedule but instead requires availability to meet in person with clients as needed.

The role offers a competitive annual salary from the outset, with notable salary progression and an attractive performance-based bonus package.
