Job summary

Mar Recruitment & Consulting seeks a Design Engineer in Mallorca to contribute to marine service projects, focusing on composite and mechanical design and engineering solutions. You will prepare drawings and documentation while collaborating with service teams and customers.

Requirements include a formal Engineering degree, 2+ years in composites, and proficiency in SolidWorks/AutoCAD with basic FEA knowledge. Relocation support is offered within Mallorca and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in composite and/or mechanical design engineering.
• Fluent or professionally proficient English.
• Experience with composite engineering and manufacturing.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Basic knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Knowledge of metal technology.
• Experience in marine industry or similar technical environment.
• Composite manufacturing/repair experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering and design team with design-related activities.
• Develop composite and mechanical engineering solutions for marine service projects.
• Prepare technical drawings, descriptions and documentation.
• Provide technical support to customers and service teams.
• Analyse technical requirements and develop engineering solutions.
• Support composite manufacturing and repair activities.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of engineering design systems and processes.
• Work closely with technical, engineering and service teams.
• Communicate directly with customers when required.
• Contribute to development of new technical solutions and service upgrades.
• Keep up to date with developments in composite engineering and marine technology.
