About The Role

BSI is seeking a highly experienced, commercially astute Managing Director for our Regulatory Services division responsible for AI & Digital Solutions. This senior leadership role involves full P&L ownership, driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and profitability within our AI business unit. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing substantial P&Ls, shaping and executing global commercial strategies, and leading regulatory innovation in industries like AI, Medical Devices, and Product Certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership : Lead the AI Business Unit with full P&L responsibility, ensuring financial growth and market leadership.
• Digital Solutions Innovation : Design and implement client-focused digital services to foster business growth and compliance.
• AI Business Expansion : Achieve Notified Body status under the EU AI Act and develop a leading AI regulatory business.
• Team Leadership : Inspire and develop a global team of AI and digital experts.
• Global Market Positioning : Strengthen BSI’s position as a thought leader through partnerships and industry engagement.

What We’re Looking For

We seek an experienced leader with :

• Proven P&L expertise with a track record of revenue growth and profitability management.
• Strong commercial acumen in AI or digital services, with knowledge of regulatory landscapes in healthcare, transport, defense, finance, or manufacturing.
• Extensive AI expertise, including building and scaling digital solutions.
• Leadership experience in cross-functional teams delivering innovative, client-focused services.
• A strategic mindset capable of influencing stakeholders and shaping long-term goals.
