Spain Team

The Spain Team, established in 2024 and based in Barcelona (Sarria-Sant Gervasi), is a growing, dynamic unit. You will join a highly qualified team, including our Country Manager and an Innovation Consultant, working closely with colleagues in the Netherlands to drive global impact. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the development of our new division, with plans to establish a dedicated Spain consultancy team by the end of 2025.

MANAGING CONSULTANT

We are seeking applicants with fluency in both Spanish and English, and proven team leadership experience.

As a Managing Consultant, you will lead and develop a team of approximately six innovation consultants, acting as a role model and ensuring high-quality client service. You will play a critical role in expanding Catalyze’s market presence in Spain, collaborating closely with the Country Manager.

You should be skilled at identifying key challenges in clients’ innovation pathways, defining impactful projects, and maintaining an active network for client engagement and business development. Your expertise in innovation consultancy and your ability to foster a motivated, high-performing team will be essential.

Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership: Provide guidance to strengthen team cohesion and morale, addressing escalations to maintain a harmonious work environment.
2. Performance Management: Oversee team performance and results, implementing strategies to optimize productivity and achieve organizational goals.
3. Planning and Resource Allocation: Strategically assign projects to maximize team output.
4. Personal Development and Engagement: Support team members’ professional growth, fostering continuous learning and motivation.
5. Quality Assurance and Operations: Ensure all projects meet quality standards and oversee administrative processes like HR, contracts, and invoicing.
6. Strategic Contribution: Align activities with Catalyze’s vision and mission, contributing to organizational improvement.
7. Client Support: Lead client assignments, contribute to project success, and serve as a role model in innovation consultancy.
8. Business Development: Maintain and expand client networks, identify new opportunities, and collaborate with the Spain Country Manager to enhance market presence.

Qualifications include proven leadership in a consultancy environment, passion for innovations in relevant fields, a relevant Master’s degree, extensive experience in grant writing and project management, and strong communication skills in both Spanish and English.
