The Team : Within our InfoSec organization, our global security engineering team is responsible for designing, building, and enhancing the security components that secure the Celonis Application and Platform stacks. We focus on both offensive and defensive security, continuously monitoring our global security posture and adapting to evolving threats. The team seeks experts in application, platform, and offensive security.

The Role : Provide strategic leadership and hands-on expertise to enhance security automation. Develop strategic roadmaps, mentor engineers, and drive initiatives to seamlessly integrate security into our software delivery pipelines at scale. Collaborate across Product Security, Cloud Security, Development, and Operations to ensure comprehensive security coverage for cloud applications and infrastructure.

The work you’ll do :

• Strategic Leadership & Roadmapping : Define vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmaps for security automation, emphasizing CI / CD integration, vulnerability management, and supply chain security. Communicate progress and risks to stakeholders.
• Team Management & Mentorship : Lead and grow a team of DevSecOps / Automation Engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Program Execution & Delivery : Oversee security automation projects from proof-of-concept to deployment, establishing milestones and KPIs.
• Technical Oversight & Hands-On Contribution : Review and guide automation code and architectures, using languages like Python, Go, and Terraform. Engage in complex integrations and scripting.
• Collaboration : Work with Product Security teams for vulnerability management, partner with Cloud Security teams for infrastructure standards, and promote Security Champions programs.

Required Qualifications :

• 5+ years leading or managing engineering / security teams.
• Experience in security automation within CI / CD and DevOps / DevSecOps roles.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar languages; ability to review and guide implementations.
• Proven project management skills in security automation projects.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Deep understanding of Kubernetes security and management tools.
• Experience with supply chain security, SBOMs, code signing, and related incidents.
• Background in building or scaling security automation in SaaS / cloud-native environments.
• Active participation in security communities or open-source projects.
• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields is beneficial.
